GLAF is celebrating the running of the Triple Crown with the annual Martini fundraiser on May 21st from 5 PM to 8 PM at Country Club Acres in Oakland, MD hosted by Amy and Steve Bortz. This year GLAF-tini will held during the second race – The Preakness Stakes. Along with classic martinis, this year’s event will feature signature drink “The Susie”, a nod to the Preakness Black Eyed Susan cocktail. Participate in a horse-themed 50/50 while watching the horses run the 1 3/16 mile course. Enjoy the evening on the patio with friends and heavy hors d’oeuvres, as well as two exclusive experience-based silent auction packages available for bidding.

The Larry Loh Experience
The lucky winner of this silent auction item will recieve an autographed conductor’s baton from Larry in an exclusive engraved box, conducting lessons via ZOOM, and the opportunity to conduct a Sousa March at the WVSO concert on June 4th! Conductor Lawrence Loh
Lawrence Loh has been Music Director of Symphoria (Syracuse, NY) since 2015 and in his final season as Music Director of the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra. He guest conducts orchestras all around the world. Loh previously held major conducting positions with the Pittsburgh Symphony, Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic, Syracuse Opera, Pittsburgh Youth Symphony, Dallas Symphony and the Colorado Symphony.
